Khamse'en_head_with_collar

Today was a beautiful day.  I spent part of it wandering downtown Pflugerville with my mother.  We went to a Hungarian restaurant for lunch, followed by a stop at a cookie store for a cookie.  We then went to Ooh La La, a gift store just a bit north of Main Street.  It’s a very cute store with a great eclectic selection of stuff.  I found Day of the Dead style skull earrings and got a pair for myself and one as a gift.  I’ll probably give them to Connie.  My friend Carrie suggested we go by there and ask about the Pflugerville holiday stroll.  So, we did ask, and the proprietor and her sister asked what we made.  We got to talking about Mom’s cards and my dolls and Mom suggested going to my blog, but I took them to my website instead.  They liked my dolls and want me to put them in the holiday stroll booth that Mom and I put a down payment on.  So, I have to figure out what price I want to put on which dolls.  We also showed them Mom’s cards and they liked them as well.  So, December 14th, I’ll attempt to sell some of my dolls.  We’ll see how it goes.

After we left Ooh La La, we went back to Mom and Dad’s and met up with my brother Andrew and his wife Anna.  We sat out on the back patio and talked for a while, before I came home to finish laundry and work on dolls.  I beaded on Khamse’en’s collar all evening and got it finished.  So, tomorrow I have to figure out how to dress her torso.  I need to do that before I work on her beaded belt.

  1. A holiday stroll sounds like such a fun time! So much better than being advertised as a ‘craft sale’ which always conjures up images of crocheted dishclothes (not that there’s anything wrong with crocheted dishclothes, but I think you know what I mean).
    That collar is spectacular, btw!
