Great Wall is an altered book I've finally finished after more than a year. It is filled with acrylic gel transfers of photos I took from a 7km hike on the Great Wall in November of 2002. The varying page heights mimic the impact of cresting a "peak" on the wall, only to see more of it snaking along the mountains' ridgeline. If you ever have the opportunity to go to China, I highly recommend hiking the wall. There is no experience like it. Acrylic paints, collaged photos and ephemera, gel transfers, coins, beads and fibers.
