Mars, God of War, is the first doll in a series inspired by Gustav Holst's "The Planets".  He is the personification of the first movement, warlike, fierce, but a bit melancholy.

Mars is a soft-sculptured, self-supporting, wood and wire-armature doll constructed from cotton, clothed in silks,rayons, leather, velvet, metal and rabbit fur. He carries a wooden sword and paper clay shield. His base is wood.

Mars is an original , 21" doll with a 5" base.
