Venus, © 2009

Venus, Goddess of Peace, is the second doll in a series inspired by Gustav Holst's "The Planets".  She is the personification of the second movement, flowing, ethereal, beautiful, but remote.

Venus is a soft-sculptured, self-supporting, wire-armature doll constructed from cotton, clothed in hand-embroidered and hand-beaded silks and  rayons.  Her base is wood.

Venus is an original , 20" doll with a 4" base.
