Zelava, © 2010
Zelava is a palm reader in the Gypsy Carnival. She travels with her baby elephant, Etalina, from town to town, telling fortunes for a bit of gold.
Zelava was displayed as part of the Treasures of the Gypsy Challenge at the International Quilt Festival in 2010.
Zelava is a one of a kind, 14" tall soft-sculptured, wire-armature, cloth doll, made with cotton, clothed in silk, chiffon, brocade, hand-beaded with ribbons, head-dress and trims.
