The Albatross, © 2008

"The Albatross" was an entry in the 2007 Treasures of the Gypsy challenge, the theme of which was "Gypsy of the Sea".  The albatross is a remarkable bird that can circumnavigate the world's oceans.  As such, the bird seemed a fitting subject to explore in response to the theme.

The Albatross is a custom-designed, 18" tall soft-sculptured, partial-armature, cloth doll with a wooden stand.
