Poem: Forgetfulness, by Billy Collins

The first time I heard Billy Collins read "Forgetfulness", I laughed out loud. With great humor, he had touched on so many aspects of my diminishing flawless memory. I knew just what he meant. But reading and rereading the poem while creating this quilt, I was reminded, with a touch of sadness, of the poignancy of forgetting those things we "used to know by heart"
